We were asked to take a personality inventory and then our supervisors grouped us according to our personalities. One of them was the personality that is known as the "beginner of projects", who was so gung-ho and excited to start something but rarely saw it through to its finish. There were often half-finished projects all over the house! What you described reminds me of that. If you're interested I can find out which personality it was...my coworkers and I had a great time talking about it after this exercise. Though I'm more and more careful not to use psychology as an "excuse" for things, I think it's important to understand our personalities and what we naturally do and extend that grace to ourselves (as God does!) while still attempting to control it. :) EVERY personality has "weaknesses" and "strengths" and so it's a matter of allowing God into those weak spots so that He can make them stronger!
